Position: HR Coordinator / Organizational Development and Communications

POSITION SUMMARY: The HR Coordinator-Organizational Development and Communications role supports internal communications, employee engagement and organizational development initiatives. Under the supervision of the Program Manager-Employee Experience, this role facilitates programs that enhance employee connection with leadership, improve employee engagement and retention, and support quality and patient experience. The coordinator assists with onboarding, orientation, LMS administration, and data tracking related to performance evaluations, certifications and licensures, employee engagement, retention and turnover. This position supports engagement surveys, service awards and recognition programs.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Assists in planning, designing and executing internal communications strategies to strengthen employee connection with the CEO, C-Suite, and the broader culture of the organization.
  • Creates presentations and other materials for use when presenting organizational development-related data, C-Suite communications, training and other requests.
  • Supports employee engagement and retention initiatives aligned with organizational goals.
  • Assists with new employee orientation and onboarding programs.
  • Administers and maintains the Learning Management System (LMS), including both corporate and local course requirements; produces scheduled and ad hoc reports on completions and compliance.
  • Assists with employe engagement surveys and analysis.
  • Assists with coordination of employee service awards and recognition programs.
  • Monitors trends, analyzes and interprets quantitative and qualitative data to inform initiatives, maximize impact, and evaluate success.
  • Maintains accurate records and reports related to HR programs.
  • Collaborates with HR team members and department leaders to support organizational development efforts.
  • Provides administrative support for training and development activities.

Qualifications

Education, Training, Experience and Licenses/Registrations Required:

  • Associate’s degree in communication, human resources, or a related field required.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • At least one year of related experience in communication, HR or training support, preferably in healthcare.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to speak publicly to audiences of various sizes.
  • Demonstrated ability to utilize technology to create and deliver compelling employee communications and training presentations.
  • Proficient in data analysis and report preparation, using tools such as Microsoft Suite.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

Physical and Sensory Requirements:

  • Ability to read and write English, interpret documents such as technical data, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Comfortable communication with all levels of management and employees. Proven presentation and facilitation skills.
  • Ability to function independently in a multi-task environment, as well as part of a team. Strong planning and organizational skill
  • Ability to respond to pages, telephones, and other auditory stimulation.
  • Ability to repeatedly twist, squat and stoop. Bending, lifting (minimum of 25 pounds), grasping, fine hand coordination, pushing, and pulling.
  • Ability to apply mathematical concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
  • Ability to evaluate and interpret information and make independent decisions.
