About the Role:

In this position, you will have the opportunity to contribute to a variety of accounting functions, including financial statement preparation and income tax services. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in public accounting, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record of delivering high-quality client service. Daily interactions with clients will be a key part of the role, where you will assist with inquiries and address concerns.

Key Responsibilities:

- Prepare financial statements, including GAAP, OCBOA, or non-report financials.
- Prepare individual and business income tax returns, including forms 1040, 1120C, 1120S, 1065, 990, and 1041.
- Create effective workpapers in compliance with firm standards and procedures.
- Collaborate with the team to complete various project components and assignment tasks.

Qualifications:

- Associate's Degree required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- CPA or CPA candidate is a plus.
- Relevant experience in a small local public accounting firm, with expertise in financial statement preparation.
- Proven experience delivering high-quality client service.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, and financial statement and tax software (QuickBooks, both desktop and online versions).
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships.
- A positive, team-oriented attitude with a "can-do" approach.
